BFG TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES POWER SUPPLY WEBSITE WITH FAQS, MODEL COMPARISON AND MORE

Lake Forest, IL – (May 21, 2008) – BFG Technologies®, Inc., the leading North American and European supplier of advanced NVIDIA-based 3D graphics cards, power supplies, and other PC enthusiast products, announced today www.bfgpower.com, a new power supply website that is designed to educate consumers about the various features and benefits of BFG’s new power supply line, and about power supply technology in general through a detailed list of frequently asked questions.

“Many people make the false assumption that power supplies are a commodity and that they should just buy the cheapest one available”, said John Malley, senior director of marketing for BFG Technologies. “One of the main reasons we developed bfgpower.com is to help consumers make the right choice by showing them that there are a variety of features and benefits for power supplies that escalate along the same “mainstream”, “performance”, and “enthusiast” continuum that we use for graphics cards.”

“One example of the valuable information that can be found on this site is that a 550 watt power supply rated at “peak” is not the same as a 550 watt power supply rated at “continuous”, which will likely affect the price and performance,” said Jon Gerow, power supply product manager for BFG.  “Through detailed FAQs, model comparisons, and a chart that helps consumers answer the question, ‘what power supply do I need?’ we hope to educate and inform consumers and assist them in making the best choice when selecting a power supply from BFG.”

BFG is introducing a brand new full line of high-quality, high-efficiency power supplies at various price points that meet the needs of the entry-level customer to the hardcore, performance-driven enthusiast. The company has already launched their new enthusiast-level unit, the ES-800, to rave reviews and awards. Due out in early July are the performance-level LS Series and the MX Series. The BFG GS-550 and GS-650 power supplies are currently available at Best Buy.
