I live in Europe. Can I participate in the BFG Trade Up program? At this time the program is only available to residents of the United States and Canada. We are working on making the program available to other countries as soon as it is feasible for us to do so.
How do I know if my new card is eligible for the Trade Up Program? Once you are logged into your account on BFGTech.com, you can view your registered graphics card(s) in the My Products tab in the My Profile section. Eligible cards will be noted with, “This card is eligible for Trade Up”. Click on the Details link to get more information and/or start the Trade Up process.
How come the graphics card I registered is not showing as eligible for the Trade Up Program? Not all new BFG graphics cards will be eligible for the Trade Up Program. While BFG will make every attempt to make desirable cards available to members, some conditions out of the Company’s control, such as limited quantities in stock, limited production runs, or early end of life may affect the availability of some graphics cards.
I just registered a new graphics card. How long do I have to participate in the Trade Up Program? You have 100 calendar days from the date on your invoice or receipt to participate in the program. After 100 days, your card will no longer be eligible for Trade Up.
I never registered my graphics card. Can I still participate in the Trade Up Program? You must have registered your card within 30 days of the date on the invoice or receipt in order to be eligible for the Trade Up Program.
I have a 6 or 7 series BFG graphics card. Can I trade this in for an upgraded card? Only BFG graphics cards introduced on or after February 21, 2008 are eligible for the Trade Up program. Eligible cards include all BFG GeForce 9 series cards, and some BFG GeForce 8 series cards, such as the GeForce 8500 GT 1GB that was introduced after February 21, 2008. If your card is eligible, it will be noted as such in the My Products tab of the My Profile section in your profile. If it is not noted, it is not eligible.
What if the Trade Up product I want is not available when I apply to the program? Once the product becomes available, you will receive an email allowing you to continue the Trade Up process. While you are waiting for the product to become available, you do not have to send anything until you receive an email from BFG asking you to do so.
How long does it take to get my Trade Up card? Once you start the process, we’ll send you an email that estimates the time it will take to complete the Trade Up process. If the Trade Up card is in stock, the entire process could take around one week, depending on where you are shipping from. If the Trade Up card is not in stock, it could take longer. We won’t have you ship in your old card until the Trade Up card is in stock and ready to ship to you.
I have two BFG 9600 GTs running in SLI. Can I Trade Up both cards? Yes—as long as you have properly registered both cards under your name.
I sent in my old card and got my Trade Up card. Can I use this card to Trade Up again? No. A customer may only use the BFG Trade Up Program once for each eligible graphics card. The card traded up to cannot be used to Trade Up to a future card.
How much will it cost to Trade Up to a new card? The value of the card being traded in will be determined by the price of sale listed on your original receipt or invoice. The value of the Trade Up card will be the Trade up value listed at the time of processing the Trade Up request.
Example: You bought a BFG 9600 GT for $179.99. You are eligible to Trade Up to a BFG 9800 GX2, which has a current Trade up value of $599.99. In this example, you would pay $420 plus applicable tax and shipping.
How do I pay for the Trade Up card? When we receive and verify the condition of your old card, and your Trade Up card is ready to ship, we’ll send you an email with a coupon code to make the purchase on the BFG Store.
